Data Privacy Policy


Under this data privacy policy (hereinafter the “ Policy”), Sidra Medicine (hereinafter “ Sidra”, “ We” or “ Us”) informs you how We process your personal data. Your personal data means any information relating to you (hereinafter the “ Personal Data”), including your name, contact details and information regarding your education and your past positions.

1. Categories of Personal Data, Purpose and Retention

1.1. Categories of your Personal Data

This Policy covers any personal information you submit to our online job application or job search process that includes without limitation:

  • Name, address, telephone number, email address, other contact information;
  • Log-in and password;
  • CV, résumé, cover letter, previous work experience/history including salary and allowance, education, transcripts and other required attachments (passport copy, passport-size photograph, etc.)
  • Employment preferences, willingness to relocate, desired salary, marital status and family information;
  • Results of your assessments, if applicable;
  • Information relating to references;  
  • Information about your dependents (if applicable for relocation and benefit allowance purposes);   
  • Background Screening Report from a third party provider;    
  • Medical Evaluation Form and Results if you are offered a job; and
  • Copies of your Passport and Qatar ID card (if applicable) and Passport size photos if you are offered a job.  

    If you intend to provide us with details of a reference or any other third party information as part of your CV/ résumé, it is your responsibility to obtain consent from that third party prior to passing their personal information to us.

    You are responsible for the content of the information you provide to us either directly or indirectly through an agent and you must ensure it is legal, honest, truthful, accurate and not misleading in any way. You must ensure that the information provided by you does not contain material that is obscene, blasphemous, defamatory, infringing on any rights of any third party, or otherwise legally actionable by such third party.


    1.2. Purpose of our Processing of your Personal Data

    We use your Personal Data for purposes related to your job application:

  • To assess your capabilities and qualifications for a job and potentially contact you about the position;
  • To conduct reference checks;
  • To develop questionnaires and interview scenarios;
  • To conduct background checks if you are offered a job;
  • To use as reference data for future candidates if you are offered a job;
  • To create and submit reports as required by law or regulations; and
  • To contact you about career opportunities.


    The provision of certain of your Personal Data is a requirement necessary to assess your job application. This means that you have to provide these Personal Data to Us. The compulsory fields are marked with an asterisk. The consequence if you do not provide information to the compulsory fields is that We will not be able to assess your job application.

    In some circumstances We do make automated decisions solely on automatic processing, including profiling and based on screening questions we ask you to complete.

    If you become an employee, any personal information that you submit may become a part of your Sidra personnel file and may be used for other employment/work-related purposes.

    2. Transfer of Personal Data to Third Parties

    We may provide your Personal Data to the Human Resources and Occupational Health departments within Sidra and a third party provider for background checks if you are offered a job.

    We will not communicate your Personal Data to third parties, except to external providers involved in the recruitment process as well as third party service providers of the information systems that require access to the data within the system to provide such services. For example, your Personal Data may be shared with the appropriate immigration authority if you relocate and require a work visa.  

    The Job Applicants located in the European Union / European Economic Area (EU/EEA) are informed that some  recipients of Personal Data may be established in countries located outside the EU/EEA, where the regulation may not have the same level of data protection than in the EU/EEA.

    3. Your Rights

    Under applicable data protection laws, you have rights:

  • Of access to, rectification of, and/or request the deletion or erasure of your Personal Data;
  • To restrict or object to its processing;
  • To tell Us that you do not wish to receive information;
  • In some circumstances, to require certain of your Personal Data to be transferred to you or a third party; and
  • To withdraw your consent, without affecting the lawfulness of our processing based on your prior consent before its withdrawal.

To exercise your rights, you can contact Us as set out in Section 1 above. You can also lodge a complaint about our processing of your Personal Data with a data protection authority (in Qatar, the Ministry of Transport & Communications: ).

4. Law Applicable to Job Application

By applying for a job at Sidra or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates, you accept that (i) the laws of the country where the job is located will have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from your application; and (ii) the laws of the country where the job is located shall apply to your application.

5. Changes to this Policy

We may change this Policy from time to time. All changes to this Policy are effective after they are initially posted on our website. If you do not agree to the changes, please contact us to deactivate your account. You can always tell when we have last updated the Policy by checking in the “Last Updated” line at the beginning of this Policy.

6. Statement

I understand that any information provided to Sidra, may be reviewed by the Sidra hiring representatives. I further understand and agree that these representatives may share this information with others on a need-to-know basis including, but not limited to, sharing it with hiring managers considering you for employment.

I understand that any falsification, misrepresentation, misleading statements, or omissions of fact on either my submitted material or during the pre-hire process will be sufficient reason for my not being offered employment. I also understand that Sidra will also view discrepancies between my resume and the information provided on the application form as sufficient reason for my not being offered employment.

I understand that no time spent in obtaining a position with Sidra, whether presently employed or in the process of becoming employed, is compensable.
